Tap Water- The Enemy
Croix filters are engineered to remove man made chemicals found in tap water like Chlorine, dissolved heavy metals and contaminants. These chemicals are added to our tap water systems to kill bacteria and keep our waterlines sanitary. Unfortunately they're harmful to your overall wellness and should be removed.
The skin and hair
Chlorine is the target substance in tap water because it strips your skin of its natural oils, can cause breakage and hair shedding. Removing chlorine supports a healthy skin barrier and can prevent dryness, redness and irritation.
About Your Water
Most people are unaware of the contaminants found in tap water. The US still has over 90,000 miles of lead piping in use, adds disinfecting chemicals which then produce DBPs (Disinfection Byproducts) which are linked to reproductive issues and developmental problems.
The Filtration
Croix filters are made from a proprietary blend of three materials. The most abundant material in our filters is called KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion). KDF neutralizes Chlorine, Heavy metals and Hydrogen Sulfide found in tap water.
How often do I need to change the filter?
The uncomplicated answer is, usually around 4 months. If you shower sparingly or your municipal water supply has lower chlorine counts, the filters will last longer. If there high chlorine in the supply water or many people use the same shower, could be less than 4 months.
Hard Water and Filtration
Shower filters cannot meaningfully reduce hardness in water. Any shower filter claiming to remove hardness is advertising falsely. "Hardness" comes from calcium and magnesium. These are dissolved ions in water and the only way to get rid of them is to use a specific water softening system which does ion-exchange. Don't be fooled by shower filters claiming otherwise.

Fits all standard US showers
Standard US Showers are 1/2" male pipe thread. Croix showerheads will fit on any standard shower. All you need is the wrench and teflon tape included!

If you purchased the Croix product within 60 days and you no longer want it, send it back to us for a full refund! We're always trying to improve and would love to know why!
